prop 8: are you really going to eliminate the right to let people who LOVE and CARE for each other greatly not get married? how dose it effect you if other people get married? america is a free place? no if it was free gays and lesbians could get married. how would you feel if your gay child who you love just as any other mother in america dose couldnt get married? PEOPLE ARE GAY! WE CANT CHANGE THAT. ITS NOT A CHOSE YOU CANT HELP THE PEOPLE YOU LIKE! are you really that low to not let people who love each other get married? no i am not gay and i am not old enough to vote but please, rethink your desition to vote yes. -cheyenne, 14, sacramento, ca.

I am a straight 26 year old hispanic female, I am a democrat and my husband is a 28 year old caucassian male republican however we both support gay rights despite our political views, this is something we both agree on. I am a former green party supporter, who recently became a U.S. citizen, I am a nurse with Kaiser permanente, and have two children a 7 month old and a 20 month old. I would not care if my son or daughter were gay. I would however care about their rights. I would like a more accessible site to find free posters and bumper stickers against prop 8. Many people i know are against prop 8, even many republicans like my husband and we would just like to get the word out. Thanks.

Same sex couples have been permitted to adopt children legally in the state ofCalifornia. All these couples want is to be validated as a family unit and to have their relationship recognized as a committed, loving and lasting union sanctioned by the state. Even those who do not have children, deserve and are legally entitled to the rights afforded by the Constitution.

I'm a christian woman and I am married. I support NO on 8! Marriage is the unity between two loving people. It is not for ANY person to judge who loves each other. My kiddos even helped make signs for our neighborhood. I was tee'd off when my 10 year old came home from school and told me we have to vote yes. He said, "we have to protect marriage." per his teacher. I asked him, "protect it from what?" He didnt even know. Once I told him he thought this prop was totally wrong!! I'm glad future generations are going to be more open minded!

I am so afraid these false acusations are going to trick people into voting the wrong way. I am a straight 33yr old woman. I have a strong faith in God. And I know that only HE can judge. Who are these people? Christians? They are all over my neighborhood preaching lies! Good Chrisians would now that it is not our place to judge ANYONE!!! We NEED to get together and fight for our rights. I am not gay, I don't know what it is like to have to go through the discrimination they have to go through. All I know is that we are ALL created EQUAL. NO ONE has the right to take rights away from anyone. NO ON Prop 8!!!!!

I'm sixteen years old, and it bothers me when I wonder if in the next decade I will have the right to marry a woman. Proposition 8 really upsets me and coming from a conservative Catholic family, it is hard to express this to my parents. I just hope that things gets better. No on Prop. 8? Absolutely.

Amanda your generation will be almost entirely for gay rights, don't worry you will be able to marry whomever you choose very soon.

Hello there My name is Cheryl. I support NO ON 8! I have two wonderful gay mothers, a gay brother, cousin and too many gay friends to count. All though I am strait I fell this is wrong for people to dictate how my family is suppoed to look. How dare people (who may I add are not god)tell my that my famly is wrong because I have a gay brother and 2 loving caring gay mothers. I remember talking to my friends with hetero parents ...saying they fought all th time and how bad their childhood was..my brothers and my childhood was WONDERFUL. We had all the love we could ever need and want. Foreal people look how pissed everyone was over the civil rights movement with African Americans, Please dont tell me there is going to be a GAY bathroom and a strait bathroom. I mean geez its almost 2011, all these grumpy OLD polititians need to go somewhere with their old ways. How dare you push your idea of what a "family" is supposed to look like. I see mine every day , and its beautiful. If I , being Italian and Aribic can now marry a black man ( and i have every intention of doing so) then why the hell cant my brother marry his partner or my mom's get married..think about it..VOTE NO ON PROP 8...I will because I love my weird, loud, crazy BIG GAY FAMILY!!!! and I dont care what anyone thinks!!!!!- Cbasenback@gmail.com
Thanks for ur time and letting me vent...

Cheryl Basenback!!
