Word of the Gay: "Chapstick Lesbian"

What exactly are masculine traits or a masculine attitude? Gender is fluid and at all times we are continually negotiating. The idea that there is a specific was to be masculine is all a matter of social construction.

glad you guys like the new words.

renee - whether we embrace gender stereotypes or reject them the social construction exists. i guess people who would identify as chapstick lesbian embrace those gender dichotomies while choosing to blend them a bit.

I love that. It makes me think of my wife--can you be a Chapstick lesbian if you like to wear red lipstick? (Goes so well with Snow White coloring and a Detroit Red Wings jersey!) It's definitely a good descriptive for women like Ellen.

I love all your Words of the Gay, actually. Even if people don't use the words, it helps your readers understand all the colors in the rainbow a little bit better.
